About Me

Since 1999, I have been working at the William & Anita Newman Library at Baruch College (New York, NY). From 2000 to 2011, I was an information services librarian. In 2011, I moved over to the collection management division and became a user experience librarian. I’m interested in information literacy, usability, user experience, open access, copyright reform, and digital reference.

I blog primarily at Beating the Bounds and no longer at Digital Reference. I also blog fairly often at a few other places.

A dozen times a day, I plow through posts from the feeds I subscribe to in NewsBlur. My Mastodon account is primarily a way for me to share items I have read and think deserve wider attention (sometimes I post similar items to BlueSky and Mokum).
